Do I Need a Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate?

If you provide any of the following services, then you’ll need a Bloodborne Pathogens Certification. Tattoo, Body Piercing, Microblading, Permanent Makeup, or Scalp Micropigmentation.

How old do I need to be to get Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate?

You can be any age to take the course, however you need to be at least 18 years old to perform any type of body art.

How often do I need to get recertified for Bloodborne Pathogens?

By law you are required to get certified one a year.

What happens if I don't pass on the course on the first time?

You can retake our course as many times as needed until you pass our exam and get certified.

What is the difference between the Los Angele BBP - 420, the California BBP - 420 and the National BBP - 420?

All of our Bloodborne Pathogen Courses Meets or Exceeds the Requirements for Body Art Practitioners as Specified Under FEDERAL OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030, Cal/OSHA California Code of Regulations Title 8 Section 5193 and California AB 300 Safe Body Art Act Article 3 Section 119307

·  California BBP-420: Most California Counties have approved or accepted this course as it meets all the necessary requirements set forth by the governing bodies.

 

· Los Angeles County BBP-420: Los Angeles County requires compliance with their registration process, but it is the essentially same course as the California BBP-420.

·   National BBP-420:   Meets or Exceeds the National OSHA Requirements for Body Art Practitioners as Specified Under FEDERAL OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030.

Our National BBP-420 is is good for other States that only require the Federal OSHA minimal Standards.
